Position Summary::

Instructor of Music Education specializing in Choral Music Education. This is a full-time appointment, renewable, with benefits.

This is a full-time appointment, renewable, with benefits. Primary duties will be to teach choral music education students at the undergraduate level, guide student conductors in the vocal chamber ensemble, supervise choral interns, teach choral/vocal methods, and other teaching duties at the graduate and undergraduate level as needed based on areas of expertise (e.g., conducting, ensembles, general music methods, vocal methods, etc.). Assisting the choral activities area, maintaining activity as a scholar at the regional/national level, and serving on department committees are also necessary. Applicants should have a growing national reputation as a teacher, conductor, and scholar. Successful classroom teaching and ensemble conducting at the college/university level are preferred. Documented professional experience as a successful state-certified choral music educator at the secondary-level for at least three years with appropriate terminal degrees earned is required (Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate Degrees with at least two in music education, ABD will be considered).

Applicants should have a growing national reputation as a teacher, conductor, and scholar. Successful classroom teaching and ensemble conducting at the college/university level are preferred. Documented professional experience as a successful state-certified choral music educator at the secondary-level for at least three years with appropriate terminal degrees earned is required (Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate Degrees with at least two in music education, ABD will be considered).
