Primary Purpose of Department:

The Office of OneIT provides highly reliable information technology infrastructure, tools and services to empower the University to achieve its academic, research, administrative and service goals.

Primary Purpose of Position:

Provide technical leadership on architecting, implementing and maintaining Banner ERP and DegreeWorks.

Summary of Position Responsibilities:

Providing expert platform knowledge for mission-critical applications including – but not limited to – Ellucian Banner (Banner Admin Pages, Self Service Banner, Banner 9 Self Service), and Degree Works.

This includes coordinating with all interested parties for routine installation of application upgrades as well as systems design and deployment of applications new to the enterprise.

Minimum Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or at least five years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, including two years in area(s) of higher education.

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

3+ years platform experience in supporting Banner ERP and DegreeWorks

3+ years experience in application platform design, implementation, deploy and maintenance

Working knowledge of networking topologies, firewalls, virtualization, Red Hat Linux Servers, Web Servers including Apache HTTPD and Tomcat, Middleware platforms including ORDS and RabbitMQ

3+ years of Java experience with applications and web servers

Ability to work with diverse teams across the OneIT organization

Strong team building and excellent interpersonal skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
