The Department of Physical Therapy at Augusta University (formerly known as Medical College of Georgia) invites applications for a full-time, 12-month position as a core faculty member of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program, rank of Assistant/Associate Professor. We are seeking physical therapy educators with expertise in the areas of pediatrics and neurology. Responsibilities will include teaching in the candidate’s area of expertise, maintaining a productive scholarly agenda, and providing service as required by the department, college or university. Participation in a faculty practice environment is also available. Additionally, an opportunity exists to participate in the department’s developing pediatric residency program and PhD in applied health sciences program. Tracks toward tenure or non-tenure are available and rank is negotiable based on the candidate’s credentials and experiences.
The position is now open and applications will be received until the position is filled. Expected start date is September 1, 2021.
Minimum Requirements
Terminal academic degree (PhD/EdD) or equivalent from a USDE regionally accredited institution. License to practice physical therapy in the US.
Minimum of 3 years clinical practice as a physical therapist. Earned ABPTS board certification in pediatrics is preferred.
Required Qualifications
License to practice physical therapy in the United States.

- Current member and engaged leader of the American Physical Therapy Association
Conditions of Employment
