Job Details:

STATUS:Temporary, Part Time – Hours vary between 7:00 am and 8:00 pm; M-F; flexible scheduling and locations

  • Position Summary :

    The COVID – UNIVERSAL CAMPUS ASSISTANT will support the College’s on-campus operations with responsibilities related to employees and students on campus, including temperature monitoring, asking COVID related questions, promoting social distancing – 6 feet apart in lines, assisting with saliva based testing program operations and performing contact tracing duties or other employee/student related communication.

    1.Greet people as they arrive on campus. Provide general directions to campus services. Provide general instructions about the screening stations. Ask people if they are experiencing COVID related symptoms.
    2.Serve as an attendant at thermal monitor stations or utilize remote hand-held thermometer; follow basic protocol for temperature screening for all parties entering the campus; inform any person whose temperature reading is above the allowable threshold to return home and provide them with further instructions.
    3.Monitor areas for social distancing.
    4.Monitor individuals for mask compliance.
    5.Assist with training/onboarding Campus Greeters.
    6.Assist with the saliva based testing program logistics and operations.
    7.Perform outreach and contact tracing activities as assigned.
    8.Assist with other administrative type duties as assigned.
    9.Other related duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    1.High school diploma or equivalent
    2.Availability to work on-campus (not remotely)
    3.Reliable attendance and commitment to schedule
    4.Strong verbal and written communication skills
    5.Attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimum supervision
    6.Personal cell phone for communication

    Preferred Qualifications:


    Physical Demands:

    1.Normal office physical demands.
    2.Flexibility to be assigned to campus locations based on operational needs.

    Working Conditions:

    1.Duties are performed indoors in the usual office and/or outdoor environment.
