Position Summary:

The Assistant Director of Annual Giving will be a key member of the UNC Health Foundation staff working to expand the successful UNC Lineberger annual giving program. Reporting to the Director of Annual Giving at UNC Lineberger, the Assistant Director will be responsible for assisting to identify, solicit, cultivate and steward annual gifts in support of the Cancer Center’s patient care, research and education programs. The Assistant Director will also assist in developing, executing and managing a fully integrated annual giving strategy to help ensure continued growth in revenue, donor retention, new donor acquisition and a robust major gift prospect pipeline.

Educational Requirements:

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required with related experience.

Qualifications and Experience:

Candidates should have at least one year of experience working in development or a related field. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external audiences; editing skills; attention to detail; the ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team; the ability to maintain confidentiality; project management skills with the ability to organize and work on multiple and competing projects simultaneously; superior customer service skills for prospects and donors.
