Description of Work:

The UNC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology/Division of Global Women’s Health is seeking a computer science engineer to join our team as an intern. This is an internship opportunity where you will improve your programming skills, while developing a mobile app to deploy the machine learning solutions our team is currently working on for a medical application. Other benefits of this internship include: gaining practical experience with a wide variety of software engineering tasks,
collaborating with skilled teams of researchers and having a flexible schedule for students during the academic year.

Responsibilities will include:
1) Developing a Graphic User Interface (GUI) for a mobile application.
2) Documenting and testing the software application.
3) Deploying and testing of a deep learning model in the application.
4) Deploying and testing of the app in a mobile device.

Education and Experience:

Minimum Education and Experience:
*Computer Science/Network Engineering, Engineering, or Mathematics major.
*Experience programming in Java, C, or C++, and python is desired as well.
*Experience in Android and/or IOS app development.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
*Excellent analytical and mathematics skills.
*Ability to work in teams.
