Position Description:
The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Information Technology Services is seeking a Canvas Teaching and Learning (T&L) Specialist Manager with an exceptional commitment to service excellence to join the team. As the Canvas T&L Specialist Manager, you will be an integral member of the Learning Management System program team, collaborating with diverse and talented team members to enable a world-class, integrated teaching and learning experience for faculty and students that sets the standard for teaching excellence, academic achievement, and inclusivity.

The Canvas Training and Learning Specialist (CTLS) Manager will oversee the CTLS team and elevate the adoption and use of Canvas to meet the program vision. This position will work with key university leaders, faculty, and staff in creating world-class training processes, best practices, research, and online learning that allow for the adoption and scale of the Canvas platform for UCLA.

Activities include: Provide insights on how to best use Canvas and other tools to enable the vision of the future of UCLA's Teaching and Learning offerings; collaborate on the design and delivery of workshops to share possibilities with faculty, students, and support teams; partner with Teaching & Learning Lead and UCLA LMS team members to understand student, faculty, and administrator needs and design and deliver training and support opportunities to meet those needs; create and deliver experiences, resources, and tools that help UCLA faculty and staff from seeing data to acting on it; work closely with product and engineering teams to integrate key concepts, frameworks, and approaches into UCLA's LMS; collaborate with the Academic Team to support the ongoing development of the platform and key capabilities; deeply understand Canvas products, how they come together, and work to grow LMS adoption on campus; actively and creatively seek ways to scale and maximize the impact on students, faculty, and staff.
