Job Description A postdoctoral fellowship position is available in the Department of Oral and Craniofacial Sciences at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to participate in research projects within a collaborative research program focused on 3D Printing and bone and cartilage tissue engineering. Candidates must have a PhD degree in biomedical sciences, biomedical engineering, or a related field. Prior experience with tissue engineering, bone biology, 3D Printing, as well as excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to a career in research is a plus.


  • Assist in developing, implementing, and executing research projects in collaboration with the principal investigator
  • Perform specialized laboratory research techniques, including cell culturing, ¿CT, histology, qPCR, imaging, etc.
  • Handling and manipulation of rodents, injections, and collection of tissue samples
  • Assist with the preparation of data for presentations at scientific meetings and for publication in journals
  • Assist with training laboratory members, as needed
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in a biomedical engineering, biomedical sciences or related discipline.
  • Prior experience with cell culturing techniques is required
Preferred Qualifications
    Experience in tissue engineering, 3D Printing, bone biology, as well as excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to a career in research is preferredExperience in 3D printing and stem cell biology is preferred

$47,476 to $55,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
