Post-Doctoral Research Associate – Department of Forestry, Wildlife and Fisheries

Regular Full-time, Pay Grade 00

The Department of Forestry, Wildlife and Fisheries at the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture is seeking a qualified post-doctoral candidate to work on research projects related to economics of wildlife disease in the Southeast USA.  Specific duties will include designing and administrating mixed-model surveys, analyzing data and interpreting results, writing reports/journal manuscripts, and presenting at academic conferences.  Opportunities may be available to collaborate on other research projects on conservation social science.

This is a regular, exempt, full benefits, grant-funded position, based in Knoxville, Tennessee, for an initial appointment of 12 months, with the possibility of extension for another year pending availability of funding and satisfactory job performance.  The position is available to start July 1, 2021.



Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS: 

A doctoral degree in wildlife, natural resources, forestry or related field is required. Concentration in or significant training in non-market valuation methods and demonstrated experience in conducting social science research and publications in peer-reviewed journals is preferred.
