General SummaryThe Assistant Director for Business Planning and Analytics provides analytical support and consistency to business and operational strategies, initiatives, and activities to maximize value, minimize risk, and help make informed decisions. This position is expected to play a key role in leading cross-functional initiatives to capitalize on areas of growth and profit improvement opportunities and expected to work collaboratively across the campus community. The position also plays a leadership role in development and delivery of new systems and processes in collaboration with team members and central office staff and maintains oversight over office projects.
Required Qualifications1. One of the following:
a. Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Management, Administration, Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
b. Bachelor’s degree in any field AND five years of experience in organization administration
2. Three years of professional level work experience in managerial and/or business roles, including one year at an administrative level.
3. Three years of professional level work experience handling departmental budgets/finances.
4. Experience in managing business intelligence software and utilizing best practice data principles.
5. Demonstrated experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis with the ability to present data in a succinct and meaningful way.
6. Exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and effectively with various university constituencies, including administration, faculty, staff, and students.
7. Experience developing, directing, and managing multiple projects.
8. Ability to manage multiple priorities and use tools to solve ad-hoc challenges.
9. Supervisory experience.
10. Ability to supervise, prioritize, coordinate, and facilitate multiple projects and deadlines independently and with limited supervision
1. Master’s degree in Administration, Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
2. Previous budgeting, forecasting, and data analytics experience in a higher education setting.
3. Experience using Ellucian’s Banner or equivalent enterprise-wide business system proficiency.
4. Experience in higher education or a non-profit organization or commensurate corporate experience that is transferrable to higher education.
Core Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm Monday through Friday
