The Learning Assistant (LA) Program at the University of Colorado Boulder encourages applications for one non-tenure track appointment as Instructor of Inclusive Pedagogy for the LA Pedagogy course, to begin August 16, 2021.

Who We AreThe mission of the CU Boulder LA program is for undergraduate Learning Assistants (LAs), faculty, and program staff from disciplines throughout campus, to push one another to generate, apply, and revise educational innovations. The Learning Assistant model started at CU Boulder, but more than 100 other LA Programs are running across the country and around the world. The LA Pedagogy Course plays a pivotal role in the development of New LAs where we build an interdisciplinary community between LAs, LA Mentors, and faculty, across departments and contexts. The LA Pedagogy Instructor will be a valued member of a collaborative teaching team that relies upon the varied experiences and expertise of the team members. Led by the Associate Director for LA Development, the instructional team’s goal is to help new LAs adjust to the cognitive and emotional demands of teaching, while giving them opportunities to explore, practice, and reflect on concrete teaching skills and techniques. Our LAs work with faculty and interact with students in Math, Science, Engineering, Humanities, Social Sciences, Business, and Language courses, in a range of contexts including in lectures, labs, recitations, and office hours. - M.A. or Ph.D. in Education or other disciplinary field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching in higher education.
- Minimum of 2 years of curriculum development experience.
- Deep knowledge of pedagogy, learning theory, and instructional design.
- Knowledge of the LA model.

- Experience working with LAs .
- Experience working with faculty.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience conducting educational research.
