Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Coastal Carolina University is accepting applications for the following position: Assistant Golf Course Superintendent (Building/Grounds Supervisor I). The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent reports to the Head Golf Course Superintendent and is entrusted with assisting the daily maintenance, operations and management of The Hackler Course grounds. This position will assist with managing and implementing maintenance procedures while conserving and protecting natural resources. They directly influence the playing and landscape areas with which golfers interact.
Duties will include, but not be limited to: perform all aspects of the golf course maintenance and assist the Head Superintendent; assist in supervision of staff including daily project schedules, informing the staff of procedures and standards, and training staff the proper way to operate machinery; inspect golf course and maintenance areas daily for concerns; apply fertilizer and chemicals when necessary; purchase products; monitor daily records; maintenance inventory; assist in determining the needs of the golf course; provide exceptional customer service to all constituents; and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Associates Degree in Sports Turf Field or Turf Grass Management and at least two (2) years’ experience in golf course maintenance is required. Must have valid driver’s license. A bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
