Instructor Pool 2021-2022 for Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (Eco Evo Conservation)

Position: The Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at UCLA maintains a pool of applicants for instructional positions. Percentage of employment will vary according to number of courses taught. Positions may be part-time, limited duration appointments not to exceed one year without a further competitive search. Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis and pool will remain active for one year. Screening of applications will take place as positions become available and continue until positions are filled.
Duties: Teach lecture and/or laboratory in conservation biology and evolution, other topics as needed; plan and coordinate discussion activities for multiple sections of courses; supervise course teaching assistants; manage the acquisition and maintenance of course materials; supervise student projects; and maintain office hours.

Qualifications: Ph.D. degree in the biological sciences; demonstrated experience in undergraduate teaching at the university level; experience with laboratory instruction in the biological sciences; demonstrated expertise in the fields of conservation and evolutionary biology. Level of appointment and salary commensurate with qualifications, experience and duties.
