Job Summary

The multimedia journalist gathers information for the purpose of shooting, writing and editing his/her footage for the newscast, special programs and sports programs. The multimedia journalist works closely with news producers and assignment editor to prepare news stories for all programs and works with staff members to improve the station’s news product.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must have completed COMM 3352 or have completed the first 6 sessions of a WUTV workshop that starts at the beginning of each semester or complete the WUTV 8-week training program. Must complete and pass a skills test. Applicant must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 and be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours in Fall 2021.

Preferred Qualifications
