Two positions will be located at Sugar Grove Campus. Two positions will be located at Aurora Downtown Campus.

TheHigh School Transition Advisor is a support position that reports to the Deanfor Admissions with dotted line reporting to the Dean for InstitutionalEffectiveness / Title V Project Director. This position will support thetransition of Hispanic/Latinx and low-income early high school students from topfeeder high schools in support of the goals of the college’s Title V grant. Thisposition is funded by the Title V grant and must meet all federal grantrequirements.

Responsibilities:

Engageand support Hispanic/Latinx and low-income early high school students and their families toconsider or pursue higher education.

Regularfollow-up with both students and parents to offer advice, support and encouragethem to schedule one-to-one advising and enrollment sessions with their Admissions Advisor.

Workwith students and families to identify challenges and opportunities to collegeand provide appropriate information and support.

Createand coordinate activities at target high schools to educate students andparents about college.

Conductre-engagement calls for students who have not yet enrolled.

Enteroutreach notes and student information into the Customer Relationship Management(CRM) system.

Maintaingeneral knowledge of college activities, programs and requirements with the abilityto refer inquiries to the appropriate personnel.

Serveas a representative of the college in collaboration with Admissions Advisors at community and district high school eventsrelated to the grant goals.

Attendnecessary workshops and seminars as appropriate to meet the grant goals.

Performother duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field required. Master’s preferred.

Three years providing direct services to students/clients in a case management model that incorporates referrals to services and vigilant follow-up.

Higher education experience preferred.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Excellent communication, organizational and human relations skills.

Outstanding phone and email etiquette.

Familiarity with CRM systems, data entry for updating student records and other student service/computer software.

Valid Illinois driver’s license required.

Physical Requirements: Frequently outside the office environment while traveling between campuses or to assigned high schools. May frequently lift/carry up to 20 lbs. to transport supplies between locations.

Work Schedule: Other One evening per week required. Additional nights and weekends as needed for programming.
