Governors State University seeks nominations and applications for two full-time, non-tenure track positions at the rank of Visiting Professor in the area of Computer Science in the Division of Science, Mathematics and Technology; College of Arts and Sciences. The position is available for the 2021-2022 Academic year and successful candidates may be extended for the 2022-2023 academic year. The preferred candidates should demonstrate strong potential to teach primarily graduate Computer Science courses, including Computer Programming- Java (CPSC 6548), Internet Programming (CPSC 8720), Advanced Operating Systems (CPSC 8735), Formal Languages and Automata (CPSC 8810), Planning and Management of Software Projects (CPSC 8820), and Advanced Database Concepts (CPSC 8845). We seek candidates with outstanding teaching skills, and experience teaching and advising non-traditional or diverse student populations. Successful applicants will have an earned Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field; candidates in ABD status will be considered.
