Description
The College of Business and Administration at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) will establish and maintain a pool of Lecturers in Career Exploration & Development (ROAR Program) from which future appointments to temporary, non-tenure track positions will be made. Appointments are part-time (less than 50% time) and will be made semester-by-semester.

This position will teach up to three one-credit hour classes each semester. Examples of such classes include the following: BUAD 3100 – ROAR Phase I, BUAD 3200 – ROAR Phase II, BUAD 3300 – ROAR Phase III. These courses are part of the College of Business ROAR program and include career exploration, resume writing, interview preparation, professionalism, and mentorship. Classes may be on-campus, online, or hybrid.

This position has been determined to be exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

What We Offer
 

Salary Range: $1,000 - $1,333 per one-credit hour course. Pay rate is dependent upon the education level held by the lecturer.

Temporary Lecturer appointments are not eligible for group health and life insurance benefits or vacation leave accrual. This position is eligible for paid sick leave. Information on benefits, including eligibility, is located at: http://www.cu.edu/employee-services.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business, counseling, psychology, student affairs, or a closely related field.
  • At least one year of experience in student development or a closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications

  • An earned doctorate degree (Ph.D.) from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Relevant industry-recognized certifications.
  • Relevant industry experience.
Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to move.
  • Employee is occasionally required to have long periods of sitting, moderate bending, and fine motor skills.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
