Description:

The Department of Pediatrics with the University of Florida is seeking a board certified/eligible adolescent pediatric specialist at the Clinical Assistant, Associate, or Professor level to pursue a career in Adolescent Medicine. This is a 1.0 FTE non- tenure accruing faculty appointment in association with the Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart in Pensacola, Florida. The service is seeking a motivated physician who desires a career in pediatric medicine within an academic setting. 

The Studer Family Children’s Hospital celebrated its 50th year in 2019 with the opening of a new Children’s Hospital. The Children’s Hospital has a full complement of pediatric subspecialties and support programs. Through UF Health and Ascension Sacred Heart, we are staying on the leading edge of children's healthcare. Our mission is to promote health through outstanding and high-quality patient care; innovative and rigorous education in the health professions and biomedical sciences; and high-impact research across the spectrum of basic, translational and clinical investigation.

Appointment will be at the non-tenure accruing level of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor, based on qualifications. Experience and/or interest in education is valued.

 


Qualifications:

Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent, be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Florida, and be Board certified/ Board eligible in pediatrics or the appropriate subspecialty.

Degrees earned from an education institution outside of the United States are required to be evaluated by a professional credentialing service provider approval by National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES), which can be found at http://naces.org/.
