Job Details
Ensure that appropriate Memorandum of Understandings, policies and procedures are in place for working with local law enforcement and coordinating with local victim advocacy organizations and service providers, including rape crisis centers.
Coordinate and/or oversee the development and implementation of annual assessments and/or survey including a campus climate survey, analyzing data collected by the climate survey to assess the rates and nature of sexual misconduct, any location hot-spots or risk factors, knowledge of the College’s sexual misconduct policies, procedures and resources, the consequences of violating such policies, and the effectiveness of the College’s efforts to ensure that the College is free from sexual misconduct. Supervise the Title IX responsibilities of the Deputy Coordinator and designated staff who serve as Title IX investigators.
College Compliance Officer:Monitor developments and changes in federal, state, and local COVID-19 compliance requirements that impact the College; inform the President, members of the Senior Team and/or other College staff, as appropriate.
Implement a program of COVID screening, testing and contact tracing as required to identify cases of COVID; respond swiftly with isolation and quarantine, as required. Report cases to State and County health officials as required. Maintain documentation of persons who comply with COVID-19 vaccine and testing requirements in order to address non-compliance issues that might arise. Create and maintain a master schedule of College compliance reports and actions the College must satisfy, indicating the offices responsible, due dates, and the entities to which compliance reports are submitted. Inform responsible offices of their requirements in time to meet deadlines. Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, and develop corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, providing general guidance on proper controls.
Develop, maintain, and revise policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and to reflect best practices.
MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS/TASKS: Prepare and maintain compliance calendars for all areas of the College. Manage a confidential compliance reporting system by reviewing and investigating reports of non-compliance (i.e. whistleblower complaints).
In conjunction with the Human Resources Office, develop an effective compliance training program, including appropriate introductory training for new employees as well as ongoing training for all employees and managers.
Act as a resource to others by answering questions and responding to compliance related requests. Other duties as assigned. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
