Position Information: *$1000 Sign-on BonusDuties & Responsibilities
    Prepares all salad, desserts, and accompaniments for mealsCorrectly uses and maintains all equipment provided to complete tasksPrepares all the condiments for the dining roomFollows large quantity recipes and scales recipes up or down as neededFollows and completes production sheets and service summariesAssists in the preparation and plating of dessertsSets up and maintains the salad and condiment bars for all mealsPrepares food in batches to meet deadlines and to avoid over productionPrepares products for catering and special eventsPerforms other duties as assignedResponsible for maintaining high standard of cleanliness and sanitation in the production and storage of foodMaintains a working knowledge of health and safety rules involved in the workStores leftover salads and desserts after meal service following proper proceduresFollows UND and State Safety, Sanitation, and HACCP Policies and procedures.Work with the preparation and disposal of fish, poultry, beef, lamb, pork, and other meat products Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies which includes removal of all jewelry and piercings (plain wedding band is permissible) and wearing hair and beard restraints
Required Competencies
    Demonstrates the ability to be self-motivated and needs little supervision.   Has the ability to multitask in a high-volume environment.Basic math skills to complete required paperwork.Ability to stand 3 to 4 hours at a time.Ability to move 40 to 50 pounds  Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills. Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience reading and follow basic directions
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check.

Preferred Qualifications
  • ServSafe certified
  • One year or less large quantity food production experience.
Minimum Hiring Salary/Position Classification

$17.50/hour, Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Non-benefitted, Seasonal

*$1000 Sign-on Bonus to be paid to new external hires only. $250 paid on first pay check after hire.  The remaining $750 will be paid upon successful completion of sixth month review period.

Work Schedule/Start Date

Full-Time Non-benefitted positionfor the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023  Academic Year

Normal schedule Monday-Friday 6am - 2:30pm with rotating weekends OR Monday-Friday 12:30pm-9pm with rotating weekends
