Regular Full-time
Market Range 10 - anticipated hiring range for this position is $48,000 to $52,000.  A comprehensive salary analysis will be performed once a finalist is identified to determine starting salary within the range.

The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, (UTK) Human Resources office is seeking a Learning & Organizational Development (L&OD) Consultant. The UTK Human Resources Office provides services to more than 5,000 regular faculty and staff, as well as temporary and student employees.  Our office values excellence and inclusion by building relationships with respect, integrity, accountability and care.  Our Learning & Organizational Development team seeks to add creative, collaborative team members with a strong commitment to service while adding value to our campus constituents’ missions. Position Summary

This position provides direct learning and development services to UTK area units. Responsibility includes leadership development and related services including learning events, strategic planning, professional development, performance improvement, consultation, and coaching. The position works closely with the L&OD Manager, departments, and other HR team members to determine learning, development and individual interventions that provide appropriate, comprehensive, and timely solutions.

Accountabilities

    Consult with department heads, deans, directors, and supervisors as requested to provide needs analysis, organizational development, leadership development, professional coaching, performance consulting, team activities, and strategic planning. Identify organization needs and design, implement and evaluate comprehensive learning and development activities, training plans and programs to support those needs. Partner with other HR units as leadership or team development needs are identified to maximize service to campus and institutes. Liaise with internal subject matter experts and training providers to design and deliver comprehensive learning services. Collaborate with various university partners to provide development services and inclusive events and celebrations for the campus community.Stay current on progressive and cutting edge learning programs and formats, effective training resources, certifications, flexible and varied learning packages, evaluation of learning/training activity. Serve on various university and community committees, commissions, and boards to support a healthy learning environment. Develop webinars and other synchronous/asynchronous learning events Develop programming or give assistance to campus partners to provide various professional development conference and workshop learning opportunities for the campus community such as leadership, civility, inclusive environment, communication, etc.


Qualifications
Required Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree and 4 years’ experience in providing adult learning services or other learning programs to include needs analysis, classes, workshops, programs, events, and conferences.Experience in facilitation of planning or event sessions. Experience in consulting on a variety of leadership issues.Experience in providing organizational development services.Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word, as well as other learning presentation platforms such as Prezi and on-line.
Preferred Qualifications

    Master’s degreeMediation certification or training; Certification with DISC, MBTI, and/or leadership coaching
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    Knowledge of adult learning theory and best practices. Knowledge of organizational development theory.Knowledge of alternative dispute resolution strategies.Skilled in the development and facilitation of adult learning or other learning events; classes, conferences, workshops, programs, etc. Ability to plan and facilitate planning/organizational sessions. Ability to conduct needs analysis.
