Description:

The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Florida invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor specializing in Glaucoma to support the expansion of clinical services. In addition to building a prolific clinical practice, abundant opportunities exist to develop independent and collaborative research as well as innovative education models.  

Salary, rank and tenure status will be commensurate with credentials and experience. The College of Medicine has an active faculty compensation plan which includes incentives and bonuses. Employer will assist with relocation costs.

University employer-paid benefits include individual and family (spouse/domestic partner and children up to age 26) health insurance, life insurance, and long-term disability insurance. Retirement benefits include participation in 403(b) and 457 plans. Professional liability protection and sovereign immunity are administered by the Florida Board of Governors self-insurance program.


Qualifications:

Requirements include completion of an approved ophthalmic residency program as well as a postgraduate glaucoma fellowship. Must be board certified or board eligible, and licensed (or eligible) to practice in Florida.

Preferred qualifications, in addition to clinical expertise, include a strong commitment to teaching and resident/fellow training.
