Position Summary:

The Director of College Health Services implements best practice standards in college health, through a strong knowledge of public health and wellness related issues affecting college students. The Director supports the health and well-being of the College community through strong clinical and administrative acumen, compassion, and interpersonal skills to work effectively as both a team leader and team member who can inspire confidence and trust.

Education:

*Advanced degree in nursing, public health, health administration, or a related healthcare field. (Minimum)
*Current License to practice as a healthcare professional in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. (Preferred)

Experience:

*Five (5) years successful administrative experience in health care. (Minimum)
*Experience in college health or other comparable health care setting. (Preferred)
*Experience as a healthcare clinician, providing direct care to patients (Preferred)

Responsibilities and Duties :

-Develop, implement, and assess a strategic vision for College Health Services including primary care, opportunities for expansion of services, and coordination of student support across multiple College entities. (Essential)
-Establish departmental priorities and goals in alignment with the Division of Student Affairs and the needs of the College community. (Essential)
-Serve as a member of the Student Affairs leadership team; assume appropriate roles as leader and member of various College and divisional committees and task groups. (Essential)
-Develop, monitor, and actively manage the College Health Services budget. (Essential)
-Ensure an effective work flow within the office to ensue efficient, effective, and responsive care for all patients. (Essential)
-In coordination with the Medical Director, procure standing orders for College Health Services and coordinate on-site availability of the visiting physician(s). (Essential)
-Coordinate complex student health needs through referral, collaboration and case management with internal and external providers and support services. (Essential)
-Work with the Safety Committee and Director of Development and Compliance to promote safety at the college, providing information and expertise, and assistance as appropriate. (Essential)
-In coordination with the College Physician, Chief of Police, and Associate Dean of Student Affairs, establish medical guidelines for the use of the Impaired Student Recovery Area by students. (Essential)
-Coordinate clinical responses and support to public health threats or events, and campus emergencies. (Essential)
-Work collaboratively to promote the health and well being of students and to effectively meet the needs of a diverse student population. (Essential)

-Participate and represent College Health Services in community, state and national professional organizations. (Essential)
-Provide health related training for students and staff as appropriate. (Essential)
-In coordination with other College staff, provide workshops, clinics, and seminars as appropriate for College community concerning health/wellness issues. (Essential)
-Provide health related information as requested. (Essential)
-Remain familiar with current health trends and issues concerning the legality of reporting diseases and/or abuse, filing appropriate claims and other pertinent areas. (Essential)
-Maintain confidentiality through FERPA/HIPAA, as appropriate, and actively support patient rights and serve as a patient advocate.

*Background check will be required on selected candidate.

As such, are required to use the following elements of the Learning Management System (LMS): Upload all syllabi, timely use of the grade feature, and collection of digital student work and distribution of digital course materials.
