Job Summary:
Serve as the Nurse Supervisor for LPN/RMA staff within the OB/GYNdepartment and assists physicians and staff in the delivery of patient care asdirected following established methods, procedures and standards. Under minimalsupervision, utilizes a systematic approach to patient care incorporatingassessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Environmental Hazards:
Possible exposure to hazardous material, hot and cold, blood borne pathogens.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry 8-10 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk,finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with orwithout reasonable accommodations.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Required:
-Minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year direct supervisory/managerial experience.
-Six (6) months of OB/GYN clinical experience required unless externship completed in the OSU clinic system.
-Experience with scheduling and assisting with procedures.
-Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oklahoma required.
-Valid Driver's License required.
-Valid CPR

Skills, Proficiencies, and Knowledge:
Skilled in delivery of patient care and procedures, medicationadministration, triage, and direct patient care. Knowledge of medicalterminology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Computerliteracy required. Ability to learn new processes, tools, and equipmentrequired.

Preferred:
Referral/Authorization experience preferred.

Oklahoma State University-Center for Health Sciences was founded in 1972 and is home to the College of Osteopathic Medicine, as well as graduate programs in forensics, biomedicine, healthcare and athletic training.   Our core business is education; and it takes more than 500 faculty and staff members to run our institution.  Our mission is to educate and train osteopathic physicians, research scientists and other healthcare professionals with an emphasis on serving rural and underserved Oklahomans.  We offer more than 10 different specialty clinics to care for patients in the area.
