STANDARD HOURS: 37.5 hours per week. Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.; Flexibility to work other hours as needed.

MINIMUM STARTING RATE OF PAY*: $18.24/hour

*Current benefit eligible employees will be placed within the pay range based on their current rate/range.

POSITION SUMMARY

Provide cross-functional support within the Procurement and Distribution department with the ability to flex support between the Mail and Shipping & Receiving departments. This position supports the daily operations of all NWTC mail services including the preparation, processing, and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail and packages in accordance with U.S. Postal regulations, packaging requirements, and district policies and procedures. The position also supports the daily operations of all shipping and receiving services including receipt, inspection, verification, handling, processing and distribution of incoming and outgoing goods and materials. Responsible for the scheduling and dispatch of fleet vehicles to staff, ensuring that the vehicles are maintained in safe operating condition.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

    Process incoming and outgoing college mail, insuring mailings are in accordance to USPS standards and maintaining cost effectiveness for the Green Bay and other district campus locations. Provide positive customer service experience to internal and external customers.Operate and maintain mailing equipment. Oversee and train others in the proper use and operations of equipment and systems.Assist the Purchasing Department in the administration of the college’s surplus and disposal assets program to CESA schools and other public agencies. Operate the college’s online internet auction system for the public for the purchase of college items, along with the collection of payments and the depositing and reporting of revenue attained with the NWTC Finance Department.Work with College departments in arranging the removal and disposal of college assets with the required authorizations and supporting documentation.Enter data pertaining to accounts, departmental costs, machine usage statistics, etc. Perform proper classifications of mail rates based on each department’s priority requirements and to keep mailing costs low. Responsible for daily inbound and outgoing package handling and campus-wide distribution activities, including scan and link documents, invoices, receipts, etc. for electronic transmission, etc. Deliver materials within the college using carts, hand trucks, forklift, etc. Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials. Schedule and dispatch college fleet vehicles for staff travel. Ensure college fleet vehicles are properly maintained and are in a safe and proper operating condition for dispatching to staff.Provide any inclusive operational support activities as necessary.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience: One year of related mail services and/distribution experience

Must hold a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the District’s standard insurance policy terms.
