Hofstra University is a dynamic community of more than 11,000 students from around the world who are dedicated to civic engagement, academic excellence and becoming leaders in their communities and their careers.Description:Hofstra University’s Department of Biology invites applications for an adjunct faculty position (adjunct instructor or adjunct assistant/associate/full professor) to teach our general biology lecture and or lab courses) beginning in the fall 2021 semester. The faculty member must be available for at least one to two hours of office hours per week and attend weekly lab instructors meetings. Teaching load is one or two courses per semester; maximum enrollment for a lab section is approximately 20 students. Qualifications:The desired candidate should have at least a master’s degree in biology or closely related discipline. Prior university teaching experience is strongly preferred.
