Job Description

The UMKC School of Dentistry is seeking applications for a full-time, non-tenure track, Oral Medicine faculty member in the Department of Oral Pathology, Radiology and Medicine. The position is a 100% benefit eligible, full time, non-tenure track position at the rank of Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor.

Specific responsibilities include pre-and post-doctoral dental and dental hygiene classroom and clinical teaching in content areas related to oral medicine. Specific educational application of biomedical science to patient care is expected. Qualified candidates may be eligible to participate in faculty practice one day per week. Interviews of qualified candidates will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Candidates are required to have a DDS/DMD or equivalent.
  • Be board eligible in Oral Medicine or Orofacial Pain.
  • Be eligible for dental licensure in the State of Missouri.
  • The candidate must also have a commitment to teaching, clinical dentistry, research/scholarly activity, and service.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Preference will be given to candidates with either (a.) or (b.) of the following:
  • Board eligible or certified in Oral Medicine with additional advanced/graduate training in orofacial pain.
  • Board eligible or certified in Orofacial Pain with additional advanced/graduate training in oral medicine.
Full Time/Part Time

Full Time, 12-month ranked, benefit-eligible faculty appointment
