The Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University is seeking applications for a full-time faculty position (tenure-track) at the level of instructor, assistant, associate professor or professor, to be based in the Department of Oral Biology & Diagnostic Sciences. Responsibilities of the position will include scholarship, teaching at the pre-doctoral (dental) and graduate-level, and service. Primary teaching responsibilities will lie in the area of biochemistry, virology, or microbiology. Significant postdoctoral experience, a strong record of research accomplishment, and the ability to develop a vigorous, extramurally-funded, independent research program are expected. Minimum Requirements Ph.D. degree in biochemistry, cell biology or a related discipline, M.D., D.D.S./D.M.D., or a combination of these from an accredited college or universityAblilty to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work independently, analyze, interpret, write, and publishPreferred Qualifications Research focus in the area of oral cancer biology is preferred, but applications from candidates working in other areas of molecular and cellular oral biology are welcome.
