Adjunct - Certified Nursing Assistant Instructor

Job Description Summary:
CNA Instructors work in conjunction with the lead instructor to help students develop skills in the areas of certified nurse's assistants.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must demonstrate a working knowledge of computer and technological skills commensurate with subject area
  • Demonstrate the ability to promote active and collaborative learning through a variety of teaching methods, as well as relate to students.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Demonstrated use of instructional technology

    Required Qualifications:
    • Associate Degree and Current Michigan Registered Nurse License that is in good standing, no encumbrances.
    • Minimum of two years nursing experience with at least one year of recent experience in a licensed long term care facility services.


    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Have active “Train the Trainer” certificate
    • Experience teaching/supervising Nurse Aides, teaching adults or a State of Michigan teaching certificate.


    Other Information:
    All applicants must demonstrate the ability to promote active and collaborative learning through a variety of teaching methods, as well as relate to students. Excellent organization and communication skills as well as the demonstrated use of instructional technology are required.
