Job Summary
Henderson Library. The Evening Shift Library Staff Assistant provides efficient, consistent, and courteous service to library customers at the checkout desk. This position is scheduled from Sunday through Thursday rotating between the following shifts:
o 11:30 AM - 8:30 PM
o 2 PM - 11:00 PM
o 3 PM - Midnight
o 5 PM - 2:00AM

Will perform administrative duties in support of functional department operations. Serve as contact between constituents and department to promote consistent internal and external communication. Enter and maintain data accurately. Work within systems to manage documentation and workflow efficiently. Provide excellent customer service while ensuring confidential information is secure.

Responsibilities
  • Shelve books and periodicals and store items in the ARC and maintain shelves
  • Provide administrative assistance to Henderson Library visitors by maintaining checkout desk
  • Assist library users with computer equipment, photocopiers, audiovisuals, and other library equipment
  • Maintain security of the Henderson Library and open and close the library
  • Load and unload material in ARC and audit ARC bins
  • Maintain ongoing inventory of library collection
  • Provide administrative assistance to Henderson Library visitors by maintaining checkout desk

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Required Experience
  • One or more years of related work experience

Proposed Salary
$25,500 - $26,000
