The Department of Psychology at DePaul University is seeking a full-time faculty (non-tenure-track, term appointment) for the academic year of 2021-2022 to begin September 2021. Faculty will teach nine courses -- three courses per quarter, for the fall, winter, and spring quarters. Some departmental service is expected. The specific area of psychology training is open, although teaching assignments are based on department needs as well as faculty interest and expertise.

Departmental needs include courses at both the graduate and undergraduate level. A priority is advanced statistical expertise and interest in teaching Regression and Multivariate courses at the graduate level. Other graduate course needs include research methods, physiological psychology, perception and cognition, grant writing, leadership, organizational theory, and organizational consultation. Undergraduate level needs include psychological measurement, statistics, and research methods, among others.

The department has the largest number of majors in the College of Science and Health with 34 full-time faculty (6 term and 28 tenure-track) with 9 graduate and two undergraduate programs. The Psychology Department is located at DePaul's main (Lincoln Park) campus in the city of Chicago. At this time, in-person teaching is expected and students will be required to have the COVID-19 vaccine.

Preferred Qualifications

PhD degree in Psychology.

Competitive candidates will have both a PhD in psychology and evidence of, or potential for, teaching and mentoring excellence. Faculty in this position are welcome to engage in research, but this component is not specifically required nor evaluated.
