The School of Education & Human Development at the University of Colorado Denver is seeking nominations and applications for the position of Senior Instructor in the Couple & Family Therapy Program.

Overall Description of Responsibility or Nature of Work

This position reports directly to the Program Director in the Couple & Family Therapy Program and is responsible for teaching graduate courses in the couple and family therapy program and providing clinical supervision to practicum students and interns. 

This position supervises graduate students.    

Areas of Responsibility / Scope of Research

Teach 4 graduate level courses/semester, including at least one course providing live, triadic, and group supervision in our in-house clinic

    Participate in program meetings, admissions interviews, and trainingsBi-weekly professional development meetings
Employment Conditions: 
This is a full-time academic year, non-tenure-track position.

This position is a one-year limited appointment.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position has been established at $50,000 to $52,700.  This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Master’s degree in couple and family therapy/counseling
  • Graduation from an accredited COAMFTE or CACREP program
  • Minimum of [2] year(s) experience in teaching
  • Minimum of [3] year(s) experience in couple and family therapy clinical work
  • AAMFT Approved Supervisor or Supervisor Candidate
  • Demonstrated ability/proficiency/excellence computer software, equipment operation, or research technical skills
  • Proof of completion of AAMFT Approved supervisor training
Preferred Qualifications: 

    Graduation from an accredited COAMFTE or CACREP PhD ProgramEvidence of cultural competency and inclusion in relational therapy/clinical work.Clear evidence that race, ethnicity, class, gender, sexual orientation, religion, and veteran status and/or other social justice issues are addressed in syllabi, teaching, and supervision.Experience working with graduate students in instruction, supervision, and mentoring activities.
  • Licensed or license eligible LMFT or related mental health field in the state of Colorado
