Physical Requirements:Sitting at workstation for extended periods of time, standing, walking. Occasional lifting of objects up to 25lbs and occasional pushing or pulling objects up to 50lbs during event set up.
Shift:Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM
Occasional evenings, nights, or weekends may be required to accommodate event and tournament schedules.
The Department of Intercollegiate Debate in the College of Communication and Information at the University of Kentucky seeks a motivated College Project Manager to serve as a leader of the new Bluegrass Debate Coalition. Key responsibilities include serving as a point of contact and program lead for the Bluegrass Debate Coalition, outreach to K-12 schools throughout the state of Kentucky, and programming for the department. This position will work closely with the Intercollegiate Debate Director to establish and grow this new initiative. Responsible for identifying and expanding opportunities for K-12 students to access debate resources. Plans, designs and executes program events, including summer camps and 5+large debate tournaments, both virtual and in-person throughout the year. Additional responsibilities include managing the Bluegrass Debate Coalition social media, coaching UK Debate students, and routine meetings with key stakeholders.
Seeking applicants with debate administration experience, or significant experience in a nonprofit or education environment who can grow this new program.

Research
In fiscal year 2016, the University of Kentucky was awarded $316.5 million in external grants and contracts.
