Job Description:


Adjunct Instructors Needed in Culinary Arts Department for Fall 2021


The mission of the Culinary Arts Program is to be a leader in Hospitality and Culinary Arts education and to develop future leaders for the Hospitality and Food Service industries. The Culinary Arts Program provides education for entry-level careers in Restaurant Management, Food Service Management and Culinary Arts. In addition, preparation for transfer to four-year higher education programs and opportunities for professional development will be provided. Students will develop technology, communication, critical thinking, quantitative, and interpersonal skills.


We are currently seeking to fill afternoon/evening weekday courses in Culinary and Baking/Pastry.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry Arts, or Food Service Management or Associate Degree with at least six years of experience working in the field.
  • Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population.
  • Work experience in a variety of diverse food and beverage outlets; including fine dining, banquet, and catering.
  • ServSafe certified.

Preferred Qualification:


  • Community college teaching experience preferred.



Additional Information:


Salary: $1,132.00 per credit hour.

Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) is a multi-campus urban institution, its main campus situated in the historic Charlestown neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts.
