Bucknell University's Counseling & Student Development Center (CSDC) is seeking a highly motivated and energetic new staff member who possesses strong generalist skills. We are a well-resourced center that includes eight clinicians and a consulting psychiatric provider. We pride ourselves on maintaining strong collaborative relationships with the campus community and are often contributing members to campus-wide initiatives.

For this position, we are seeking candidates who have experience providing brief, multiculturally-sensitive counseling for individuals, groups, and couples with diverse presenting concerns.

We seek candidates who understand the impact that experiences of marginalization, inequality, and prejudice can have on students, and are experienced in therapy, consultation, and outreach to address, and/or diminish this impact. The successful candidate will be an experienced generalist psychologist, counselor or social worker.

Job Duties:
1. Provide clinical assessment for students experiencing personal, developmental and/or psychological problems and those seeking personal growth and development.
2. Engage students in individual and group counseling to address personal, developmental and/or psychological problems as well as to enhance personal growth, health and academic success.
3. Develop, implement and evaluate community intervention programs/outreach services that: a) help prevent problems, b) educate students, staff and faculty about mental health/psychological issues and wellness, and c) teach skills for self-care and community health and safety.
4. Provide emergency and crisis intervention services (e.g., participate in the center's on-call rotation including evenings and weekends).
5. Consult with university staff, faculty, students, family members and other professionals to assist students.
6. Assess need for psychiatric evaluation/medication management and assist with referral.
7. Assist with referrals of students to resources on campus (e.g., career services, student health, etc.) and off campus (e.g., community mental health programs, community clinicians).
8. Provide services consistent with professional ethical standards and generally accepted standards of practice.
9. Actively participate in weekly Staff and Case Conference meetings.

Administrative Responsibilities:
1. Maintain appropriate documentation of services and client records.
2. Contribute to the office's operational responsibilities, e.g., exercise appropriate stewardship of center budget and resources, contribute to center-wide goals and projects, contribute to office planning, assist with divisional and university responsibilities, etc.
3. Engage in professional development to maintain best practices and meet legal requirements and professional guidelines for practice.
4. Engage in both need assessments and service outcome assessments/evaluations to support the effectiveness and efficiency of services. Make appropriate changes in services based on assessment findings.
5. Contribute to, provide direction for, and/or manage and administer projects assigned as part of the center's annual goals or other center or divisional projects.
6. Serve on Divisional and University committees as appropriate.
7. Other administrative duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Hold a completed master's level degree (MA) in clinical or counseling psychology, Social Work or the equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired
2. Licensed or license eligible in Pennsylvania.
3. Experience working with college-aged young adults.
4. Demonstrated multicultural counseling competency.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Completed doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in clinical or counseling psychology, Social Work or the equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.
2. Licensed in Pennsylvania (e.g. Psychologist, LPC, etc.)
3. Experience working in a college/university counseling center setting.
4. Specialized experience and demonstrated competence in providing clinical services related to one or more of the following:
a. Men's issues and masculinity
b. Diverse populations including but not limited to those who have historically experienced barriers to mental health access (e.g. students of color, LGBTQIA+ community, linguistically diverse backgrounds)
c. Anxiety and DBT skill-building (e.g. distress tolerance, emotional regulation)
