Job Description:
POSITION: Full-Time Data and Systems Operations Analyst: Division of Student Affairs; 37.5 hours per week; Non-Unit Professional Position; Grant Funded Position through June 30, 2022.
SUMMARY: NECC is seeking an experienced professional to provide end-user application support, design and implementation of business processes, and analysis and report writing for Student Affairs. The Data and Systems Operations Analyst will serve as the primary technical support and data specialist for student success initiatives including the SOAR Program. This person may serve as lead or be a team member on projects across multiple information systems and functional areas within Enrollment Services. The Data and Systems Operations Analyst will support operation systems and data analysis for Student Development and Enrollment Services.
RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will report to the Director of Business Systems for Student Affairs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide end-user support to Student Affairs with particular emphasis on student success initiatives
- Review and analyze data accurately to monitor progress toward SOAR Program and other student success objectives and student outcomes
- Assist the division with strategic goal setting based on data-informed decision making
- Working knowledge of various tools and applications to support initiative and requests
- Assist with the implementation and testing of upgrades and applications
- Develop and review business processes for efficiencies
- Incorporate application enhancements and technologies into business processes
- Ensure compliance with Federal and State Reporting and Regulations
- Develop and maintain documentation on business processes
- Design and develop reports
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Lead systems and data projects to ensure schedule and objectives are met
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- 3+ Years of experience working in a college setting or in a Computer Science, MIS, or Data Analysis job experience
- Experience with Banner, PeopleSoft or Datatel
- Experience with application implementations or upgrades
- Demonstrated analysis and report writing skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and use data
- Knowledge of technology as it related to student information systems
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to present complex academic information to diverse audiences
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with the following programs/software's:
- Navigate by EAB
- DegreeWorks
- Customer Relationship Management/Student Life-cycle Management Systems
- Zogotech
- Argos
- SQL Developer, PL/SQL Developer
- Tableau
- Project Management
- Experience working at a community college.
- Bilingual or Bicultural (Spanish and English).
- Experience working with and supporting a culturally diverse, population in a Hispanic-Serving Institution.
Additional Information:
SALARY: $55,000-$60,000 annually.
