As a key member of the Faculty Actions team, reporting to the Director of Faculty Actions, this position works closely with the Director of Faculty Actions and the Senior Associate Dean of Faculty and Research. This position has responsibility for all actions related to part-time faculty; acts as the primary staff liaison between the School and the Provosts Office for matters pertaining to part-time faculty; collaborates with the Director of Faculty Actions regarding full-time faculty actions, including tenure & promotion and merit review; and performs analyses and makes recommendations regarding documentation, workflow, and data collection for part-time and full-time faculty actions. This position also provides technical advice and guidance to department chairs, faculty, program coordinators, and the Office of Labor Relations for matters relating to the part-time faculty union.

Required Skills

B.A./B.S. required; Master's preferred. Previous experience with higher education, especially in working with faculty, highly desirable. MS Office proficiency required. Database (MS Access or equivalent) experience preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, ability to handle confidential information appropriately, and three to five years of related experience.
