Responsibilities Collaborates with the Planning and Assessment Coordinators within IE, campus units and university stakeholders to anticipate, plan, leverage, implement, and evaluate various qualitative evaluation and assessment methods: Provides support for a set of standardized, scheduled evaluation, assessment and benchmarking methods including but not limited to:
  • Comprehensive Program Review;
  • National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE);
  • Graduate outcomes assessment;
  • Employee engagement;
  • Campus climate survey;
  • Delaware Study.
Supports the use of results into planning & decision support through the analysis and evaluation of outcomes of each assessment method including but not limited to:
  • Statistical analysis;
  • Data visualization;
  • Executive summaries and comprehensive reports;
  • Working with Planning & Assessment.
Supports ad hoc assessment requests as defined by the university stakeholders to support accreditation, planning and assessment efforts:
  • Prioritizes requests;
  • Leads discussions during consultation with committees, projects, and units on the best assessment methods and tools (surveys, direct vs indirect measures, etc.);
  • Leads assessment method development efforts through project teams and adhoc committees;
  • Identifies and utilizes existing information resources to prevent over-surveying and/or duplications of effort;
  • Advises as to whether ad hoc requests should become a regular part of the scheduled assessment methods.
Conduct assessments as appropriate and supports the use of results through the analysis and evaluation of outcomes of assessment methods including but not limited to:
  • Statistical analysis;
  • Data visualization;
  • Executive summaries and comprehensive reports.
Manages institutional administrative survey process and procedures for the enterprise:
  1. Manages and updates institutional administrative survey policy and procedures, survey request form, Executive Summary Report template, survey analysis;
  2. Manages vendor relationship with tools needed for survey administration;
  3. Monitors survey traffic on behalf of the institution for possible collisions based on known reoccurring disseminations;
  4. Works to standardize decentralized surveys across enterprise to prevent survey fatigue (e.g., Graduation Exit Survey);
  5. Consults with constituents across enterprise on survey methodology (best practices) advising on and validating the reliability and integrity of assessment methods.
Maintains awareness of current research and statistical methodologies focused on higher education:
  1. Maintain membership to the Association of Institutional Research;
  2. Attend regional, state and national professional development conferences;
  3. Maintain appropriate expertise in research methods and analysis.
Provides analytical support for a set of standardized, scheduled reports and assessments related to student performance and academic planning initiatives including but not limited to:
  1. Complete College Georgia;
  2. Student Achievement reporting;
  3. Consortium for Student Retention Data Exchange;
  4. Student Achievement Measure Initiative;
  5. Annual Benchmarking Analysis.
Maintains awareness of current data sources and technical innovations within the data analysis and business intelligence fields focused on higher education:
  1. Maintains membership to the Association of Institutional Research;
  2. Attends Regional & National Conferences & Meetings;
  3. Assists in improving reporting and analytical tools and techniques in the fields of Institutional Research and Business Intelligence & Analytics.
Job Summary In collaboration and consultation with Planning and Assessment, the IR team, campus units, and university stakeholders, the Survey Research Coordinator serves as the primary contact for coordination of qualitative assessment methods (such as surveys) and research projects to support activities that promote continuous improvement and organizational effectiveness. The Coordinator initiates, oversees, and conducts surveys important to the university and health system and analyzes the results of these assessments to highlight conclusions. Findings are communicated in a variety of ways to support the effective use of results in planning and decision-making; through personal meetings with sponsors and Planning and Assessment Coordinators and in written reports including high-level executive summaries. The Coordinator manages the institutional administrative survey process and coordinates with units who have survey requirements through external resources.Shift/Salary Shift: Mon-Fri; 8:00AM-5:00PM (May be required to work outside normal business hours.
