Minimum Qualifications:

Requires are least a high school diploma or equivalent. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

2 years college with emphasis in Secretarial Science or Business Administration preferred
Knowledge of Point and Click or other Electronic Health Record software preferred
Minimum of two years in a customer service related field preferred

Position Summary:

As an agency, Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) is committed to the promotion and celebration of diversity in all of its forms. We are a multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary, and multi-theoretical staff striving to provide culturally competent clinical services, outreach programming, training opportunities and consultation to the UGA community. The Administrative Associate II position is an integral member of the CAPS administrative support team. This position provides support and assistance to CAPS clinicians, clients/patients, parents and UGA faculty and staff. The position entails extensive and detailed knowledge of UHC and UGA policies and procedures and the ability to make appropriate judgment decisions in the absence of the CAPS Operations Manager. Team skills will be utilized to collaborate with other members of the CAPS team. The position will also manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, establish priorities, and respond quickly and effectively in stressful situations. All are valued team members who participate in performance improvement initiatives and actively involved in team activities, i.e. required meetings, committees. Experience in mental health or healthcare setting

Duties/Responsibilities:

Client/Patient Support Services: Responsible for accurately and timely processing insurance referral requests. Responsible for processing Parents Leadership Council Grant paperwork pre and post approval. Provides primary back up to check-in, check-out, and billing functions when needed.

CAPS Clinical Staff Support Services: Performs administrative tasks for the CAPS group program. Performs administrative tasks for the CAPS Track 2 treatment team. Coordination of CAPS On-Call schedule. Coordination of bi-annual CAPS Peer Review. Responsible for administrative support of AOD and ED team meetings. Updates comprehensive database for tracking leave for CAPS clinicians when needed.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Provides administrative support to the CAPS Training Director and the CAPS Training Committee. Assists with yearly searches and new hire/orientation process for the training program. Organizes and coordinates schedules for practicum students, interns, and postdoctoral fellows in coordination with the Training Director and Clinical Director. Attends bimonthly training committee meetings.
