Adjunct Instructor needed to teach Chemistry classes. Prior Teaching experience in the field is required.
Examples of job duties are as follows:
1. Provide quality instruction in college-level course(s) in accordance with college catalog and departmental guidelines.
2. Plan and organize instruction based on approved student learning outcomes and course objectives.
3. Evaluate and select instructional materials that achieve the approved learning outcomes and objectives for each course and provide course syllabi to students enrolled in the course.
4. Maintain accurate student records for each course.
5. Assignments will include day, evening and/or online classes.
6. Other related duties as assigned.
Must have a Master’s Degree with 18 graduate hours in chemistry.
Ability to deal with students, faculty, and staff members in a professional manner. Ability to plan, schedule, and manage projects and assignments.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, speak, listen, and see. The employee is occasionally required to sit, lift, push, pull and carry objects.
Working conditions: Normal classroom setting.
Preferred Qualifications:Undergraduate teaching experience is preferred.
Experience teaching online Chemistry courses utilizing a Learning Management System such as Blackboard is preferred.
A flexible schedule with the ability to teach courses during day/evening and on-campus/off campus is preferred.
Salary:Depends on course load.
