JOB SUMMARY: The Department of Management and Marketing in the School of Business at Middle Georgia State University invites applicants for a Tenure Track Assistance Professor in Management to start Fall Semester 2021.

MAJOR DUTIES: The successful candidate is expected to teach on-campus and online undergraduate and graduate courses in leadership, business management, strategic management, business statistics, human resource management, organizational behavior, quantitative methods, production operations management, and other business courses as needed. The successful candidate is expected to have a strong commitment to outstanding teaching, research, advising students, and service to the profession and university. This is a 10-month position with summer teaching available depending on demand. Teaching responsibilities may include day and/or evening, lower level, upper level business and graduate level courses. Travel to satellite campuses (Cochran and Warner Robins) may sometimes be required.

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have a doctorate (PhD or DBA) in management from an accredited university, with preference for candidates with a degree from an AACSB school. Experience in the private or public sector in business management is preferred. Prior teaching experience in business management on-campus and online is preferred.

The School of Business is one of the largest schools at the university and has departments of Management and Marketing; Accounting, Finance and Economics; and Health Services Administration and Sport Management. SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
