Communications Coordinator

UT Foundation, Inc.  

 

The University of Tennessee Foundation, Inc. is seeking a creative professional to join the Central Services communications Team. Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Communications Coordinator will have responsibility for coordinating internal and external communications for UT Foundation, including writing, editing, providing light graphic design work, administering web content for UTFI and UTAA, and overall helping to ensure integrity of the UTFI brand.

The Foundation is an interdependent nonprofit corporation that enriches the lives of the students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of the University of Tennessee through alumni engagement, financial stewardship and private investments. In central services, nearly 50 employees work together to engage and build meaningful relationships with alumni to raise financial, public and political support for the University of Tennessee.

Knoxville sits at the base of the Great Smoky Mountains. With a variety of outdoor activities, parks and recreation, Knoxville can provide a top notch outdoors recreational experience to nature lovers. Arts, music, events and annual festivals add to the list of things to do for those interested in the not-so-active opportunities.



Qualifications
Qualifications:

Candidates must have bachelor’s degree with 4 years of experience communications, marketing, public relations, alumni/development, or similar environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to multi-task and think proactively, professional maturity and sound judgement in using discretion in handling sensitive information, and maintaining the strictest confidentiality. Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign,WordPress, familiarity of AP style, Microsoft Offce. The ideal candidate will be highly supportive of and committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
