Job Summary

Perform general landscape and grounds maintenance activities to include mowing, trimming and debris removal. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: supervisor and coworkers.

Responsibilities

·

  • Maintain trees, shrubs, groundcovers and flower beds (planting, fertilizing, mulching, watering, pruning, etc.)
  • Transport equipment and personnel via motor vehicle to and from job sites.
  • Perform lawn maintenance to include mowing, line trimming, edging, aeration, fertilization, lime application, etc.
  • Clear landscape and grounds of debris, trash, branches and leaves.
  • Empty trash receptacles, remove ice and clean storm drains.
  • Dig trenches, perform minor street and walkways repairs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma

Required Experience
Up to one year of job related experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
This job requires basic knowledge of grounds maintenance processes and practices including operation of related equipment, use of radio communications equipment and operation of a motor vehicle.
