The person in this position will gain valuable experience as they assist Human Resources personnel with clerical tasks and special projects. The assistant will be the first point of contact for visitors and positively portray a professional demeanor at all times and must have a high level of integrity as they may come into contact with confidential information.

• Answer phone calls as a representative of the College and Human Resources, route calls to the appropriate person, check office voicemail and take detailed phone messages
• Prepare and file documents alphabetically for long and short term storage
• Complete tasks including typing, copying, faxing, shredding, etc.
• Open, process and distribute the mail daily
• Create various brochures, flyers, forms and surveys
• Prepare and maintain spreadsheets
• Other duties as assigned

• Must have some experience in an office setting
• Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Must be dependable, punctual, organized and friendly
