Responsibilities

The Business Analyst is responsible for the fulfillment of data and report requests, providing end user support, investigating and resolving transactional and data-related issues of enterprise constituent management software, including Blackbaud’s CRM, Financial Edge, Papersave, and other associated products.

Report Writing

Utilizing Microsoft T-SQL, SSRS and PowerBI, fulfills data requests for mailing lists, donor rolls, and demographic and giving analyses. Produces or supports the production of standard, custom and audit reports. Provides data extraction, manipulation, and reporting assistance to other departments as needed.

Application Support

Provides overall program support for Blackbaud’s applications and other associated products utilized by the FSU Foundation and FSU Direct Support Organizations. Conducts research and analysis to resolve technical application issues. Provides appropriate service, support, training, and advice to end users regarding the capabilities and functions of the constituent management software products, along with technical and application issues.

Data Infrastructure

May participate as a member of the FSU Advancement Data Integrity Committee (FADIC). Participates in thorough testing and validation efforts for deliverables such as reports, data lists, applications, and system upgrades, ensuring timely and accurate results in a team environment. Designs, creates, and maintains application and business process related documentation. Gathers and documents business requirements, and clearly communicates findings to stakeholders. Protects confidential information.

Assist Report Team Manager & Other Duties

Adheres to Information Services change management policies and procedures. Other duties as required.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or high school diploma/equivalent and experience equal to six years. (Note: a combination of appropriate post-high school education and experience equal to six years is substitutable.)

    Detail oriented and organized with an ability to meet deadlines.Strong aptitude for diagnosing end user problems, identifying and implementing solutions.Proficiency in the Microsoft Office products suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word), or equivalent software.Ability to function independently while working well in a team oriented environment, taking the initiative to be productive and efficient.Ability to maintain consistent and positive communication with the Foundation.Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously and accurately in a detail-oriented environment.

Preferred
    Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing implementation and technical support of CRM software, Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge and/or BBCRM software.Knowledge of T-SQL.
  • Knowledge of SQL or similar query language.
  • Working knowledge of relational database architectures.Strong knowledge of higher education fundraising principles.Experience with developing and implementing reporting vehicles and using CRM software to query, extract and/or load data.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with users of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
