Position Summary

This opportunity is in a complex environment which offers the applicant the challenge and rewards of helping patients with a wide spectrum of brain and nervous system disorders; consists of performing patient assessments, telephone triage, interviews with patients, providing patient education and coordinates services for patients and families; applicants will be expected to be a leader and mentor to students and clinical staff. Coordinates and assists faculty in conducting clinical trial research projects: involves use of subcutaneous and intramuscular injections and intravenous infusion skills.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a bachelor's degree in nursing; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in nursing; experience with subcutaneous and intramuscular injection, intravenous infusions; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; also requires possession of a current license to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Michigan.

Desired Qualifications

Specialty training and experience in Neurology; excellent communication skills. Knowledge and experience in coordinating and performing clinical research including injections and infusion.
