Health Care Risk Manager

Position Summary
  • Administrative support for medical staff peer review
  • Administrative management of occurrence reporting system including management of processes to collect and follow up on occurrences; develop action plans to mitigate risk and reduce recurrences; and improve safety measures
  • Support triage process for RVSM and ADP reports for MSU Health Care employed staff/providers
  • Responsible for responding to federal and state complaints regarding safety issues
  • Responsible for reporting to internal committees related to risk and safety issues
  • Develop policies and procedures related to risk and safety
  • Develops and implements goals, objectives and administrative policies and procedures pertaining to risk management and regulatory affairs for the MSU Health Care or other medical group/facility.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four year college degree program in a health and/or business related field; five to eight years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in risk management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
