The Department of Visual and Performing Arts in the College of Arts and Sciences at Clayton State University seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor in the area of Film Production to begin in August 2021. The position reports to the Chair of the Department of Visual and Performing Arts (VPA). Salary will be commensurate with experience and competitive with comparable programs.
A doctorate or M.F.A. in film production or related field Successful college-level teaching experience at the undergraduate level
3 years or more of industry experience Experience with project-based teaching methodsSpecialization in either Producing and/or Directing Experience teaching Screenwriting and/or StoryboardingResponsibilities:Teach a variety of production courses in the Film majorEngage in scholarly activity leading to presentation and publication and/or juried artistic creationsParticipate in service to the department, college, university, and community
