The University of Kentucky College of Nursing invites qualified applicants for this full-time (10-month) position in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program. This non-tenure track position includes developing, coordinating, and teaching content in an undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program, accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. Position duties require classroom and/or online instruction; supervision of nursing students in clinical settings; advising students; involvement on college committees; clinical scholarship and membership in professional organizations, as well as service in clinical practice. Position may include teaching across the Undergraduate Program tracks: Traditional BSN, Accelerated BSN (ABSN) and RN-BSN.
Qualifications include a doctor of nursing practice (DNP), doctor of philosophy (PhD) degree or other doctorate in nursing preferred (MSN eligible). The successful candidate must have an active Kentucky RN license. A minimum of two years of full-time or equivalent experience employed as a nursing educator within the past five years is required. Previous teaching experience in adult health nursing, including interprofessional education, medical/surgical experience, and nursing leadership in an accredited BSN program is preferred. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are required. Candidates should have a strong commitment to teaching, scholarship, clinical practice and service.
