The University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Clinical Sciences and Advanced Medicine, Section of Medicine invites applications for an annually renewable Lecturer position in Small Animal Internal Medicine. The position is available as of July 2021, or by negotiation. Lecturers in Medicine have a 9 month (38 week) clinical commitment, and their primary responsibilities are clinical teaching and clinical service in the Small Animal Internal Medicine Service. The successful candidate will enjoy a wealth of opportunities in providing clinical service in a very active academic teaching hospital, and in pursuing clinical research in a highly collaborative environment. The Section of Medicine employs 9 (ACVIM, Small Animal Internal Medicine) board-certified internists in direct support of the program, all of whom have active clinical research programs. There are currently 11 residents enrolled in the residency training program. More than 30 Diplomates of several American certifying Colleges support the Section of Medicine. The School's Small Animal Teaching Hospital is in close proximity to the School's basic science departments, the School of Medicine, and other Schools of the University, affording excellent opportunities for collaboration and professional growth. The School is located amid a vibrant urban neighborhood that offers an abundance of cultural resources including music, art, theatres, and fine dining (www.upenn.edu/life-at- penn/philadelphia).
